Baked SPAM® Classic in Sweet Fruity Glaze

Life's too short. Dip that fry in a sundae. Top your champorado with tuyo. Drown your puto in dinuguan. And eat your SPAM® Classic with a sweet fruity glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 x 340g can of SPAM® Classic, sliced into 8
  • Fruity Glaze
  • 7g chopped onions
  • 165g chopped dried mangoes
  • 165g chopped dried pineapples
  • 42g glucose
  • 60ml white wine
  • 42g honey
  • 8 slices grilled pineapples

Directions

  1. In a preheated oven at 176⁰C, bake SPAM® for 15 minutes or 5 minutes in a toaster oven. Set aside.
  2. Sauté onions in hot oil over medium heat for 1 minute and add dried fruits.
  3. Add glucose, wine, and honey. Simmer for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  4. Arrange 2 pc of SPAM® and 2 slices of pineapples on top of a bowl of rice. Top each bowl with a spoonful of fruity glaze.
